Biddulph Grange Country Park

Biddulph Grange Country Park was just as beautiful as the pictures. Located in the North West region of National Trust locations, you can find it situated in Stoke – roughly a 20 minute drive if you are in the Crewe area. They say that walking through the gardens and seeing the vast collection of plants takes you on a journey around the world, from Italy to Egypt to China.

The garden, shop and tearoom open at 10 am, with the garden closing at 6 pm, shop 5.30 pm and tea room at 5 pm. Members have free admission, but if you aren’t a member (yet) it will cost you £11 for an adult and £5.50 for a child.

Although perfect for a picnic, no picnics are allowed in the gardens unfortunately. But you can treat yourself to some hot and cold drinks and food at the Camellia House and Bateman’s tearoom – with an option of indoor and outdoor seating.

Toilets are located at the entrance with baby changing facilities near the main tearoom – we arrived right at the opening time so managed to get a parking space easy, but I imagine it gets pretty busy!

Assistance dogs are only allowed in the garden, which is slightly annoying being a family who take their dog everywhere with them, but when you have a garden filled with some many beautiful flowers…you can kind of see why – most flowers and plants in these gardens are rare, so you cant risk any dogs doing their business on them.

We spent a good hour and a half walking around the grounds and through the gardens. There are so many beautiful walkways lined with flowers, trees and freshly cut hedges. You definitely have plenty of amazing photo opportunities here. Wherever you walk, there is always something new to look at, and everything is well kept and clean.

Our favourite part, for the both of us was the small Japanese Gardens, although a small space, it did almost make you feel transported to a different destination. Dexter was loving the bright colours, and watching the fish swim in the little lake.

Biddulph is definitely a National Trust you will come back to – it is pretty mesmerizing to look around.
