Rufford Old Hall is a Tudor building that holds stories of the Hesketh family history.
Unable to go into the building (due to covid – so we will be back) we were able to examine this lovely-looking building and it’s grounds from the outside.

Although it’s quite small, we took our dog for a quick walk – it’s around 45 minutes around the building and the grounds (if you take your time). It was an opportunity to tick another National Trust location off our list.

You are able to walk through the Victorian and Edwardian gardens that run along the canal, which makes Rufford one of he lowest lying National Trust gardens. Located at the side of the carpark is a woodland area, perfect for our Beagle to sniff about.

The courtyard is pretty, surrounded by great architecture. You can sit down and enjoy a hot beverage, cakes and snack that you can buy at The Victoria Tea Room.

Entry into Rufford Old Hall is free for National Trust members, but £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. Parking is also free.
